Mitchell and I spent Christmas Day at his parents' this year. After unwrapping some Christmas gifts, we had dinner at Brasserie De Altena.
Amuse: oxtail cappucino. At first it seemed a bit weird to me, but it turned out to be alright.
Entree: salmon rolls stuffed with trout cream, marinated with cucumber and wasabi dressing. So good!
Intermediate course: marinated duck, wild mushroom risotto and port sauce. Tasted delicious as well!
Spoom: bubbles with lemon. It turned out to be some alcoholic drink with cream on top of it, which actually was very delicious! This drink neutralizes all flavors from the dishes before, to make sure you get the right taste of the main course!
Main course: venison with mashed parsnip, beetroot and morel sauce.
Dessert: stewed pears, chocolate mousse, cheesecake and caramel ice cream. We felt stuffed afterwards! We really liked this dinner at Brasserie De Altena and we could certainly recommend it to you.
Finally here are some iPhone pictures that we took that night! We had a great Christmas, I hope you did too!
